Let us use the tension, the transition, and the teaching available today as the base elements for our own interpersonal and transformational alchemy. Let us commit today to continuing to do our own work, reckoning with our own roles in the violence and fear that are the landscape of this Presidential transition. Let’s use this shift in political power to make, to create a shift in your OWN power.

Briona, Angeliska, and I have a gift for you to mark this inauguration of our 46th president. For better or worse, here we are and what comes next is very much up to each of us. What happens from here, if we want to see less violence, less death, less inequity, requires engagement and perseverance. It requires truth telling, calling in, and listening. It requires equal parts justice and joy.

We’ve put together a list of 46 daily action items to mark this change in political power in the US as we inaugurate our 46th President. We invite you to pledge yourself to taking the next 46 days to establish, deepen, and renew your own practice of transformational, anti-racism, and justice work.

A new chapter for our country is starting, if we let it and do the work to ensure that this time is, truly, different. That difference will only be established if we do our own work of knowing and naming where we come from. Stating clear the privileges that kept us safe. Making the personal sacrifices of comfort and complicity. And calling each other in, not out.

Onwards!
